Get Set for the 2022 Simulated Emergency Test (SET)
Are you ready to respond to a local communications emergency? How about within your area, state or beyond?

At the CT ARES - Region 2 SET 2022, you will be Learning, Reviewing, and Doing.
HOURS: 9 AM - NOON

The ARRL Simulated Emergency Test (SET) is an exercise that enables you and your local, District and Section leaders to test equipment, modes, operating skills and emergency deployment plans to see if everything is in place and ready for an actual emergency event.

The SET is one of the premier events of the year that invites the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), the National Traffic System (NTS), SKYWARN, members of the ARRL Field Organization, and other groups to work in concert together to practice and prepare.

On Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, between 9 AM - NOON,
Region 2 ARES members will be converging on the CT ARES -Region 2 Marshalling Site (In-Take) and ARES Training Location for this year's Simulated Emergency Test (SET) which will be at:

YOU NEED (and want) TO BE HERE.

NOT YOUR NORMAL SET...
This SET will be focused on LEARNING and DOING.

We will be combining normal SET activities with ARES Skills Training and Application

For some of you, this will be a First Look and Hands-On experience using Winlink Data Communications , Near Vertical Incidence Skywave (NVIS) Communications, and Net Control Operations.
For others, it will be a welcome Refresher.

Come and plan to have a fun and educational morning, and get a better idea of what our Clients (State, Municipalities, Others) EXPECT ARES members TO PROVIDE during a REAL WORLD post BLACK SKY EVENT.

All members of CT ARES - Region 2 are INVITED and strongly ENCOURAGED to attend.
