Question:
If you drove out of the area and were asked to switch to a frequency/repeater not in your radio, how easily (and quickly) would you be able to put that frequency into a memory channel and store it there?

VHF/UHF radios have come a long way in the past 20 years. They have become more complex to program manually.
(Anybody remember Thumb-wheels?)

What I hear from Hams is that: (a) instruction manuals are not user friendly and, (b) "Chinglish" adds to the confusion and frustration.

Take a moment and honestly answer the question. B)
Even better... grab your radio to test and time yourself.
